Legacy Boxer Rescue (LBR) is a non-profit organization in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Established in 2004, LBR rescues boxers from shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. They provide medical care and a safe, loving home until the boxer is able to be adopted to their forever home. Many of these poor puppies come to LBR with heartworms, tumors, and other health problems. We make sure they receive all the care they need. LBR is 100% volunteer organization. These volunteers share a love for the playful, loving boxer breed. They open their homes to many dogs who have never known the comfort of regular meals, or a soft bed to sleep on.

This book was a great read. It literally made me laugh out loud and cry. Any animal lover will enjoy it and it gives great insight into the plight of homeless animals and those who rescue them. It may even make you want to go out and adopt a companion!
What a great collection of stories! The stories in this book are all short tales of the boxers rescued by this amazing group. It's heartbreaking the condition some of the dogs are in when they're first rescued, but their "happily ever after" stories make it all worth it!
I really enjoyed reading the stories about the boxers they have rescued and also about how LBR came to be. I have adopted a boxer from them and I have to say they are awesome! They do an amazing job!

Heartwarming stories of animal rescue heroes and the helpless ones they help. I hope there will be more from Legacy Boxer Rescue and organizations like it. I laughed and cried at this one.
